A snubnose revolver (such as a Smith & Wesson Performance Center 627 which is an 8-shot .357 Magnum) makes a g0od backup, though. No concealed carry battery should be without a combat knife to0 also. Pistol, revolver, knife = minimum number of weapons that should be carried at any given time. Add to that all the magazines and speedloaders (or mo0n clips) that be carried without hinderance.
So you actually carry a dozen magazines (plus one loaded) concealed?! Wowzers! That doesn't hinder your movement, does it?

I'll never carry a revolver unless it's the only gun available. If I ever carried a BUG, it would be a Kel-Tec P3AT. I carry a folding knife for utility purposes (Wouldn't call it a combat knife, though, some might), and I can't think of any situation where using that would be preferable to using the XD.
I carry ONE 12 round magazine, with one round in the chamber. 12+1.
I'm certainly hardcore about someone's right to carry 2 guns and a knife concealed, but I myself don't find it practical or convenient. The money spent on additional guns is certainly better spent on some serious training.

Then you can cut out around to the shadows, do a white fill, and voila!
Requires some more experimentation to get the contrasts just right, but I like my results so far...

If I'm going somewhere that strikes me as more "bad" than usual (Say, a trip downtown), I may throw an extra mag in my pocket.
But for the most part, I don't carry any spares... figure I've already got twice as many shots as someone with a revolver.
