Alright, changed the font to a slightly different one, and added a little bit of an effect to the lettering. You can't see it in this resized version, but I'm eager to see how it looks in the print when it arrives.
-Old-
A work in progress... Trying to get permission to use a different font from the font creator, and then going to print.
Those of you with calibrated monitors, please let me know how the contrast is, particularly around the barrel. You should be able to see the barrel, the blackness inside the barrel, and the gap between the slide and barrel.
As Iggy so quickly (Geeeeeeeez. ) pointed out, the frame is plastic ("polymer"), and the internal parts are metal. The slide (the top part, the blocky part) is also metal. It is "Armory Koted", a rebranding of KG Gunkote, which is a nonmetallic finish for metal surfaces.
The font may not be a problem, but I really like the font I'm after.

It will be subtly updated, so I don't know that you'll get any notification. The only thing that will be different (unless I get some criticism) will be the type face. And of course, the print version will be ginormous.

You mean... not rusty? It was refinished under warranty probably 18 months ago... I was having serious rust issues, like many people. Came back with their Armory Kote, and while it definitely has holster wear (This is no safe queen... Daily carry and mucho handling has worn the corners a bit), it hasn't had a spot of rust.
I just bought an XD9, used, which I'm looking to sell (I bought it 'cause it was cheap) and it has the stock finish on it, but it seems darker or thicker or something than the stock finish was when I got mine. Haven't witnessed any rust issues on this one... Makes me think (hope?) that the rust-cancer as at least been fixed for those of us who take care of the guns.
Thanks for the comment!
